Altar’s Ego is a four-piece rock band based out of Memphis, TN. The group has experience playing all over the midsouth where the region’s vast musical history has had a profound influence on their music. Hailing from Los Angeles, California, brothers Brandon Closson and Tommie Closson have played together since a very young age and have developed a strong songwriting core together over the years, especially since moving to Memphis.
Their main acts have included various projects including Young Guns and Echo Point, and now with the addition of a new rhythm section rounding out the lineup, featuring Jeff Naylor on bass and Casey Triplett on drums, Altar’s Ego are ready to take it to the streets. The group is focused on keeping their set electric and writing original songs that feature Brandon’s frontman and vocal ability, Tommie’s unique guitar work, with the backbone of Casey and Jeff providing an interesting blend that remains fresh but familiar. Triplett’s aggressive style plays an integral role of their sound as well. With a lot of performing and musical experience under their belts, Altar’s Ego is looking to utilize the endless resources that Memphis has to offer to show audiences their new and improved sound.
