Each year the best cooking teams from all over the Mid South come to Memphis to compete against the best of the best. This is no place for wimps…If you think you got what it takes to compete we invite you to join us in the 11th annual Southern Hot Wing Competition.
Saturday, April 27, 2013 11am – 6pm

HOW TO APPLY:
To apply please review the Competition Rules and Regulations below then complete the form at the bottom of the page and pay your application fee’s by mailed check. No application will be considered without payment. We have made a few changes this year so please review the contest rules and regulations.
ENTRY FEES and BOOTH OPTIONS
Our booth spaces are measured in 10×10 units. Teams may request up to 3 spaces for this year’s event (2013). So our booth spaces are priced as follows:
- $150 10 x 10
- $300 10 x 20
- $450 10 x 30
Each team will be required to provide a check for $100 made payable to the Southern Hot Wing Festival as a clean up deposit. This will be collected at the cooks meeting on Monday, April 22nd, 2013, at 6:00 pm at Earnestine and Hazel’s or at check in the day of the festival. We will hold the check uncashed. If it is determined that the team has left its space in good order the check will returned. If the space is left in disorder we will cash the check to help defray our clean up expenses.
Teams may request a Port-o-let for their space at an additional cost of $75.
PRIZE MONEY AND TROPHIES
- $1,000 – Best Overall Hot Wings
- $500 – 2nd place
- $250 – 3rd place
- $100 – Best Presentation
The Memphis Picks Award trophy will be presented to the team who raises the most in donations from the distribution of samples to festival patrons.
