In 2003 one year after the inception and pre-evolution of the Southern Hotwing Festival, Armando Gagliano an ‘artistically talented’ young man, 14 years old at the time, was asked to come up with a rendition of something to add color to the event and to post on all pamphlets and print ads. Hence Henry Hotwing was created and has been with the event ever since. Henry turns 10 this year…so everyone pay tribute to Henry Hotwing and his famous quote…”ain’t nothing like a good hotwng!”

We are getting fired up for the 11th annual Southern Hot Wing Festival for 2013. The date for this year’s event is April 27th, 2013. Save the date…our move to the Riverfront was met with great response. We look forward to seeing you there….as we gather for the 11th consecutive year to find out just who will claim their place on the Wall of Flame.

New Location for the Southern Hotwing Festival

We have outgrown the space we were using on South Main. Our 2012 event will be located on Riverside Drive between Jefferson and Monroe. Jefferson Davis Park will provide a spacious green space to enjoy your wings and listen to some great tunes. This NEW HOME will allow the festival to grow and expand for many years to come. Please mark your calendars.
