Weather, particularly severe weather, is a very real and serious threat to any outdoor event and can have very serious consequences if left to chance. The safety and well being of everybody in attendance is of the utmost concern and priority to any large scale / outdoor event organizer and so we continually rely on the full cooperation of everybody involved … patron and participant alike in the event of such situations.
Official announcements regarding inclement weather will be most easily accessible and available through our website and associated social media accounts. We thank everybody for their understanding.
Lets all face it. Nobody likes moving to a rain date, least of all us after putting in a lot of hard work and effort to produce this event. But I ask you what is worse: Being able to attend our festival on a (hopefully) better, brighter, less gloomier day or the alternative of having to wait another whole year to come around so that we can try again (that’s like 600+ days of waiting)? We know many of you would surely not prefer the latter, and therefore usually establish a RAIN DATE (aka “Alternative” date) should severe weather threaten our ability to put on WingFest. Typically this the next day (a Sunday). Again, website and social media will provide relevant details on any RD decisions.OUT OF TOWN GUESTS Please account for this RARE BUT OCCASIONAL possibility when making your travel plans and do not purchase tickets if you are unable to attend the scheduled rain date (if any).
