10th Annual Southern Hotwing Festival

Here we GROW again….The 10th Annual Southern Hotwing Festival will be held on April 21st, 2012.  As in years past the event will again pack the street with the sweet smell of hot wings, gregarious participants and terrific music.   We outgrew or location on South Main so this year the event is moving to a new location which will provide more room for all of our activities with room to expand in coming years.

This year the festival will be located on Riverside Drive between Jefferson and Monroe.  Jefferson Davis Park will provide lots of green space to relax and enjoy some great music while you feast on your wings.  The Southern Hotwing Festival has quickly become a Memphis tradition providing something for the whole family to enjoy.  And of course all the proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald House right here in Memphis.  Last year you helped the Southern Hotwing Team donate over $20,000 to the their efforts to provide a home away from home for the families and kids undergoing treatment at St. Jude.

Last year fifty-five (55) teams participated in the event.  In our new location we expect that we will have room for sixty ( 60) or more this year.  Our spaces are going fast (Application).  In addition to the Hotwing Cooking Competition, we will have three music stages this year thanks to our fine sponsors which we hope you will patronize during the year.   We will also have a silent auction and a Hotwing Eating Competion.   This is a great event for a good cause and we hope that you will mark your calendars for April 21, 2012 and make plans to come listen to some fantastic music and eat some the best hotwings around the south.
